Molly Chowdhury is a New Jersey-based ceramic artist creating functional pottery and custom lamp bases inspired by textiles, nature, and historical ceramic traditions. Working primarily on the wheel, I am known for intricate surface decoration—hand-carved botanical motifs, impressed textures, and layered glazes that create unique color interactions. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, designed to bring beauty and curiosity into everyday use.

About the work: Each piece in this collection is wheel-thrown and decorated with hand-carved details and layered glazes. The surfaces reference botanical forms and textile patterns, creating a dialogue between historical ceramic traditions and contemporary design.

Care Instructions: All pieces are food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the carved details. The Raku pieces have been water-proofed to an extent but may see some wet surfaces over 4-5 hours.
