Dom Scacco
After graduating from college with a degree in animation and illustration, Dom found themself feeling burnt out and disconnected from the craft. Searching for new ways to create art that both filled their cup and supported them financially, they applied to work at Mud in 2023 with no prior experience in clay. Pottery quickly became the center of their life, and they’re so thankful to be a part of the community of artists and friends at Mud. Dom creates functional wares with a whimsical twist, favoring darker clay bodies and a moody glaze palette. It brings them so much joy knowing that people are using their pieces to share meals and create memories with friends and loved ones. Dom throws pots in their little apartment studio when they’re not teaching at Mud.
